VAMPY RED LIPS—-Today I attended a makeup demo at M.A.C in Los Angeles and discovered the new faces for fall. Vampy red lips is what fall is all about this upcoming season. The look was seen all over the runway by such designers as, Bottega Veneta, Gucci and Nina Ricci. The color and tone ranges from a dark purple to a brownish purple for lips. For darker hair a dark purple is recommend. But for blondes it is imperative that a brownish red is used, otherwise it will not compliment the skin color. The complete look should be done with minimal eye makeup followed by a flawless completion. To make your lips look bigger with this color, add gloss to the middle of the lips.

Futuristic Eyeliner
A second HUGE beauty trend for fall is futuristic eyeliner. Eyeliner is defiantly not shy this season. Colors range from bright blues, dark purples and striking blacks. At the Anna Sui show a model features a dramatic, thick blue eyeliner with two dots strategically placed below her bottom lash line. At the Lanvin show, a model is shown wearing a thick black liner. Basically the look can start out as a winged liner, but instead of making it a thin line, line it all the way to the eye line crease. This creates a dramatic effect and eye. This is one of the easiest thing to do for fall. I always recommend when doing dramatic looks, one must pick which feature to emphasize. If doing a dark lip, keep eyes neutral, when doing a heavy eye keep lips bare.
Look: Think Brigitte Bardot in the Future!
BIG RETRO HAIR IS THE IN THING FOR FALL. Which makes me extremely happy as I LOVE setting hair and then teasing it, back into place. This look was taken from, Carolina Hererra, D Squared and Oscar De La Renta runway shows. These looks are easy to mimic, with a simple teasing comb, Sebastain Shaper hair spray, and booby pins/ties if needed.

Jason Wu
Two toned eye shadow is big for fall. You can have the shadow stay primarily on your lid as viewed above in the Jason Wu photo. Or you can take a dramatic turn by working in a color almost all the way to your eye brow as Roberto Cavalli did above. Colors can be metallic, purples, light greens, rusty oranges, dark turquoise, mixed in with some sparkle. You can also add color underneath for eye, to take it up a notch. Because the shadow is ultra dramatic, remember to go easy on the eye liner. Eye liner should be simple, shaping the eye all around the lid or none at all. Remember, to blend in whatever two colors you choose. There should never be a line of demarcation when applying makeup.
