Boho Braids are one my favorite Fall hair trends for 2012. This look was taken from the Rachel Zoe fashion show for Fall 2012. The hairstyle blends well with Rachel Zoe’s bohemian, couture line. The thick necklaces are a perfect compliment to the long, just got out of bed, hippie look. When trying to recreate this look realize, its similar to the hippie look seen in the late 1960’s. The only difference is the added braids. One could also add clip hair extensions for a fuller look. Braids will stand out even more if they are a different color from the base or overall color. As seen on the model on the left, who is still sporting the ombre color seen from the past 6 months.
I would wear this hairstyle and I cannot wait till I have my hair extensions in to recreate it! It makes me feel trendy, urban, free spirited and beachy at the same time. Which is similar to Los Angeles’ Style. Its simple for everyday people to do and looks youthful on almost anyone 10-60 years of age.
How to get this look:
- Start off with wet hair and round brush it to create smoothness and carefree light waves.
- Part hair in the middle and use a gloss to smooth hairs.
- For thicker hair, take a small section at the top and braid it, 1-2 inches of ends can be left alone. Secure with a band that matches the hair color. (For thinner hair add a clip extension that has been braided)
At the Fall 2012 Carolina Herrera fashion show, large bouffants were teased and paired with tiny headbands. This trend is so dainty and bold at the same time. I really enjoy it, I love big hair! As with the first trend, this is simple and easy to do. Requiring only a teasing brush, hair spray and a small headband.
